San Vincenzo, well-known seaside resort on the Etruscan Coast
San Vincenzo combines natural scenic assets with the comforts of a welcoming, hospitable resort that make it an international tourist attraction where relaxing, carefree holidays may be spent all year round.
The sea is crystal-clear, fringed by a dense pinewood and by luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation. Its magnificent beach of fine golden sand is several miles long and is dotted with bathing establishments alternating with large public beaches and punti azzurri, where deckchairs and beach umbrellas are available for hire.
The ancient San Vincenzo Tower, built in the 14th century and from which the town takes its name, is to be found right next to the beach, as are other fortifications and watch towers, once used to defend the coast against pirate raids. The Rimigliano reserve, a protected natural environment, and its closeness to the mediaeval hilltop towns, the Eturscan remains at Baratti and Campiglia and the spa at Venturina make San Vincenzo the ideal base for fascinating tours and excursions on the Etruscan Coast.
